I showed off my ultrasound pictures - at bottom of this post - to my aunt and cousin on Saturday night. They ooohed and aaaahed over baby. They were very funny about how clear his "turtle" is. Then on Sunday, I was able to tell some more friends that baby is a boy. That was fun. Of course I showed off the pictures there too. Pictures are in a little photo album now. I keep getting it out to look - it seems so surreal that he is inside of me! I am enjoying every single minute of being pregnant - but am also so anxious to meet him!! Steve is very anxious as well - I told him 133 days left and he was quite bummed because that sounds so long.
I went to some yard sales this weekend and got some baby things!! I was super excited! I got a jogging stroller like Steve wanted - $40 rather than the over $200 one he wanted online... I figured it will be good to make sure he likes it before spending a ton of money on one. And they threw in a Steelers outfit for free! I also got a little overalls set for a quarter. And a couple sleepers, and a onesie. I bought a car seat cover - that will go over baby kind of like a comforter/coat? Brand new for $3. My mom bought a growth chart to hang on the wall - SO CUTE!! It comes with little picture frames and everything! Then my best friend from high school gave me a big box of newborn boy clothes! I will not need a single onesie!! She has a swing and bouncy seat and high chair for me. And more clothes! She had triplet boys (they are 2 now) and saved EVERYTHING! So, I am very, very anxious to get things and make this feel real.
My next goal is to decide what in the world we want to do with baby's room. What color to paint, what theme to go with, crib, etc. AHHH!!! So much to do - so glad it's summer time!!

Love the new pics! I just nominated you for an award! Check out my blog for details!
ReplyDeleteYup, he is all boy, isn't he. Enjoy every second of pregnancy and all those special movements. It really does go by so fast. I sit back and miss all those moments now because life is so fast and hectic now, I don't even remember that quiet time.
